Strawberry cream muffins!!

 Strawberry Cream Muffins (or Raspberry)-
Taste of Home cupcakes and Muffin magazine
submitted by Stephanie Moon-Nampa ID.

This recipe is awesome, just a slight change that we did (okay really I only cut strawberries and then filled the muffin tins and my hubby did the rest!!  I know I'm spoiled rotten), but they were so tasty.  The best from scratch muffin I've ever had.  So delicious that they almost could pass for a cupcake!!  And I know I haven't really had recipes on here before, but I'm really trying this year to branch out and find new great recipes, so I'll throw them in every once in a while.  And if I find a good recipe, I'm always up for sharing.

Ingredients
1c. fresh raspberries (we used strawberries diced small)
¾ c sugar (we used 1 c.)
¼ c. butter softened
1 egg
½ tsp almond extract
½ tsp vanilla extract
2 ¼ c flour
1 Tbsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 c. half and half
1 c. finely chopped vanilla or white choc chips
Streusel
2 Tbsp brown sugar
2 Tbsp sugar

In a small bowl toss raspberries/ diced strawberries with ¼ c. (we did a ½c. from looking at other fruit muffin recipes) sugar; set aside. So if you you don't love sweet muffins go with the 1/4 c.
In large mixing bowl cream butter and other ½ c sugar. Beat in egg and extracts.
Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt: or just add to cream mixture alternately with cream.  Stir in chips (we put them in my little chopper so they were very small) and the reserved fruit.
This is after I had 12 muffin in tins. I had to make a few more.  Darn it leftovers!!
Fill greased or paper filled muffin tins ¾ full-full.  Combine the brown sugar and remaining sugar and sprinkle on top for the streusel.
Bake 375 for 25-30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.  Cool for 5 minutes and then remove to wire rack.  Make 12-16 muffins.

I'm telling you these are a GOT TO try!!  Love them!

Stayed tuned for the fun Valentine's things I made up this weekend!  Way fun!!

Vinyl Colors and info

Here are some examples swatches of color that I have in stock, (which may or may not be the same color depending on the color settings on your own computer).
I would love to have more colors to choose from, but I can't justify them until I get someone that needs them for their vinyl.  If you're looking for a certain color, I'll see if I can get it.
See all those holes.  I'd love to have them and more filled up!!

Majority of my vinyl is Oracal vinyl,  I find it to be the easiest to work with and applies wonderful, my transfer tape is semi-transparent and if you have a lighter vinyl color being used I'll change to a totally transparent for better placement!!

Awesome give away!

So when I bought my vinyl cutter I was just going back and forth about what I really wanted to purchase.  And I do love what I got, but I hate that it doesn't cut through cardstock.  Well I've found my solution to this problem.  I think I need to have one of these.  And I thought that maybe I'd share so others can see these awesome give aways.

Over HERE at All things Thrifty, they have a give away for a free silhouette machine, and you can see a few more in my blog list that have give aways too.
Check out this site!!
Another one that has the same give away going on is House of Smiths.  Another way fun reading blog with fun house decorating tips and this giveaway

Kitchen themed presents.

So my we had my sister-in-law for Christmas, and she had a few ideas of what she wanted, but they weren't very expensive items so we had to spice her Christmas gifts up a bit.  So we decided to go with a kitchen themed gift, since she asked for a vegetable steamer and a brownie spatula.  So here is the tea towel apron that I finally whipped up on the 23rd of December.  Nothing like procrastination huh!! But I made it have a little pocket, you can see the brownie spatula tucked in it.  It has adjustable ties so that it can be up as high to your chin as you'd like. ( I feel like lots of the aprons that I have are gaping around the neck and I have to tie up the neck strap and then I have a hard time getting my head out...I know I have a big head,
or I just like to have my apron up higher than most!! :) ).

I also really like the look of these half length aprons that I found on
A site that I totally love, even though I'm not a huge sewer, but she is creative and amazing at making her own patterns.
I love the ruffles, but I didn't buy enough of my accent material to do it. So this is what I had to do.  Also I'm one that doesn't usually get flour and stuff on my pants, but the batter or whatever is all over my shirt.  So I vote for the full length apron!

Another place to get an awesome & adorable apron...much cuter than the one above....

A great site to go for hand sewn items of all sorts, and they uses the cutest material prints I've ever seen.  Check them out!!

And to top off the kitchen theme, I had made up a few more Menu chalkboards since I had an order for a Christmas presents and used them all this season! But they aren't too hard to make...and you can totally make it anyway you want to.

I had one customer ask for one that could fit under her cupboards in her kitchen

What do you think?  I know for a kitchen that has wall to wall cupboards that this could be a nice solution!!

for 10x30= $16.50 + $5 s+h

Laundry list/Chore list

So again my friend Lori had an awesome idea that I got to work through for her in vinyl.  She gets (was asked nicely I'm sure) to teach some ladies at church some of her tricks to staying organized and this is what she came up with.  Here are 4 examples that I made for her to pick her favorite.  But I thought I give you all the same option....  So the first one is the one she picked.
Leaf Laundry list

I wanted to get Lori's full idea of how she intended to use it, so I was asking her.  At first I was a little confused cause I wasn't familiar with the "Laundry list" idea.  So she was teaching me that it's a term used for all the things that you have to get done.  She also thought about naming it a "Get 'er Done list", which I thought was so fun, and so fitting in our house.  So if you'd prefer it to say something else.  I can change that around too.

Ornate Laundry list

Now I thought I'd like more of a place to write goals and other things I'd like to get too, since I hate chores...(expecially the bathroom, please tell me that most others hate them too, ) I thought that I'd use it more the other directions, so I split them up in rows and changed it to a landscape orientation

$6 for the 8x10+$2 s+h
  $9.00 for 11x14 +$5 s+h
 $17.50 for 16x20 +$5 s+h

Again I need what color you want it?
black choc brown, brown, cream, or white if you'd like.
What size you'd like? or if you need a special size?
And then I can send you a paypal invoice for the total.

I'm really excited to make one of these for myself cause I need more organization in my life!!

Come what may and Love it!!

So my mother-in-law wanted a full length mirror for Christmas...but we didn't want to be boring and just give her what she wants, we wanted to go beyond that.  So we typed up one of her favorite quotes to put at the top!

We took this picture by putting it in our hallway with a matching color on the other wall, but really it's a mirror.  And mirrors looks so awesome with vinyl on them!!
